London Design Festival 2018 Trends
September is certainly a month that no one really looks forward to. Holidays end, days get shorter and darker, and life gets back into the routine after summer… Except for designers! We love September - the month when we get to peruse the best of design, creativity, and new ideas at the London Design Festival!
For us, LDF started with a trade-only panel hosted by one of our favourite high street suppliers: West Elm. The evening gave us a taste of what to expect at Decorex & 100% Design…The event featured:
Daniel Hopwood - Interior designer, judge of the BBC’s The Great Interior Design Challenge and ex-President of the British Institute of Interior Design
Farrow and Ball - Iconic British paint brand
Grant Pierrus - creator of one of our favourite award-winning blogs Interior Style Hunter
These super inspiring industry experts discussed this season’s trends and the future of interior design. Here’s your guide to navigate through the new season:

Goodbye Feature Walls - paint (or wallpaper!) everythinG including the ceiling the same. This creates depth and the most
beautiful canvas to feature some mega lighting and furniture.
More. Is . More. Clashes of pattern and colour to create a wild and UNIQUE environment. The minimalist age is making way for some serious fun.

Ceilings are the 5th wall -
go bold or go home.

Everyone is bored of grey - like music to our ears! Grey has been the go to for so long and it’s making way for more bold and statement shades.

Decorex & 100% Design where next on our agenda. 100% Design offered us a broader view of design novelties, including architecture and urban development. As usual, the stands at Decorex were amazing, inspiring and totally exciting. Here is a selection of our favourite designs.

That’s a wrap for LDF2018, we are so overwhelmed by the amount of beauty our eyes were fed with this month!
